Tom Adams has been involved in church ministry since 1987. While desiring and pursuing a career in the LA music scene, God called Tom as an artist, worship leader and pastor, to serve in the local church. Tom has a deep desire to help people gain an appreciation for music/arts and use it as a tool to worship their Creator and grow in their understanding of who God is and what He has done for them.
Tom came to CEFC in October of 2006 with his lovely wife, Valerie. They have been married since 1992 and have 3 energetic boys, Matthew, Nathaniel, and Luke. Tom is an MK, Military Kid. This allowed him to live in 8 different states (3 times in California) and overseas on the Island of Okinawa. It was on the island of Okinawa where Tom met Jesus for the first time, asking Him into his life at the age of 9. Tom’s love for music led him to Biola University where he majored in piano performance. After 2 years, Tom moved on to The Grove School of Music and entered the Keyboard Instruction Program followed by the Composing & Arranging Program.
Tom enjoys cooking, ping-pong, long walks on the beach with Valerie and spending time in the mountains. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves the Fall Season with the brilliant colors it brings and Tom’s favorite time of year is Christmas. His favorite music is jazz and rock. His favorite bands include Kansas and Journey.
For Tom, life comes down to this . . . seeing the name of Jesus lifted up and exalted! “To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:21)
